Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a QA/Tech Design Specialist located in Guatemala City. The QA/Tech Design Specialist will be responsible for ensuring all products meet quality standards through rigorous quality control, quality assurance, and quality management practices. Daily tasks will include conducting quality audits, sample development, implementing Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and collaborating with the design team to develop and refine production processes.

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven
Quality Assurance Analyst

to join our growing QA team. In this role, you will execute manual and automated test cases, identify and document bugs, and collaborate with engineers and product managers to ensure software meets high standards for functionality, usability, and performance. Your contributions will be critical to supporting successful feature releases, maintaining platform stability, and enhancing customer satisfaction.

You'll report to the QA Lead and play a key role in daily testing operations across our web and mobile platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute manual and automated test cases to verify product functionality, performance, and reliability.
• Log, track, and retest defects using Azure DevOps or similar tools.
• Collaborate with QA Engineers, Product Managers, and Developers to understand requirements and clarify test needs.
• Contribute to test planning and test case creation based on functional and technical specifications.
• Perform regression, smoke, exploratory, and user acceptance testing for web and mobile apps.
• Help maintain and expand automated test suites (e.g., using Selenium, Postman).
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and sprint activities to ensure test readiness and visibility.
• Assist in identifying testing gaps and proposing process improvements.
• Support the QA Lead in achieving release milestones and quality metrics.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a software quality assurance or testing role.
• Familiarity with both manual and automated testing methodologies.
• Hands-on experience using tools like Selenium, Postman, or similar.
• Experience in testing web and mobile applications.
• Working knowledge of Agile development practices and SDLC.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working in a remote or distributed team is preferred.

Job Responsibilities

• Work with internal and external teams to continuously test product features as they progress from development, to staging and production environments
• Drive the software quality assurance lifecycle within an Agile process
• Update key aspects of code/design to increase testability where possible
• Create automated end-to-end tests via Cypress and configure automated triggers to fire, run, report and notify engineers and stakeholders of regressions
• Create automated unit tests and integration tests server-side via RSpec
• Establish and coordinate test strategies with development/product teams
• Monitor, report and Improve code coverage and test pass percentage of existing tests

Job Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience in professional software testing and/or development
• BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent preferred
• Some familiarity with Ruby on Rails, RSpec,
